BIOGRAPHY - Dr. Marilyn Bruno
Dr. Bruno‘s expertise is UNIQUE. She holds a B.A. (Mount Holyoke College), M.A. and Ph.D. (New York University) and J.D. (New York Law School).
Dr. Bruno worked 18 years in the private sector as a banking executive, stock, commodity, and real estate broker, and administrator of an academic study abroad program in Madrid, Spain.
She has been the President of Bruno Consulting, Inc. since 1984, featured in Business Week and awarded Woman Entrepreneur of the Year for her consulting services to businesses and governments around the world on international economics, investments, banking, anti-money laundering, trade, and countertrade.
Dr. Bruno served 14 years in the U.S. diplomatic corps as an analyst and program coordinator of economic policy issues in the State Department’s Foreign Service abroad and in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Bruno has actively volunteered for over 30 years, including in the State Department's Mentor program, pro bono work for AARP's Legal Counsel for the Elderly, and the Florida Department of Elder Affair's Alliance for Aging program "Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders" (SHINE). She publishes articles in national media, lectures extensively at universities, community organizations, and health fairs, and is a guest on the national call-in radio program, "The Dr. Laurie Show," on Genesis Communications Network.

WHAT IS A GYNOSAPIEN?
WHAT DOES “GYNO SAPIENS MEAN? So many people ask about the name of my domain, “Gynosapiens. What does it mean? It simply means “Thinking Woman.”
I instinctively associate myself and my work with this definition. From as far back as I can remember, I knew that my pattern of thinking was simply different than that of most people -- “Homo sapiens - the Thinking Man. When I was a pre-schooler, observing my brilliant older brother, I was amazed by the empirical way he reached conclusions. Unable to keep up with this wiz kid by conventional logic, I found myself beating my brother to the same conclusions by what my brother called the “quantum leap.
I describe this “quantum leap as intuition, the ability to “see the answer without necessarily being able to explain why. Over the years, I have seen, foreseen, envisioned, and concluded many things that were not evident to anybody else until years (and even decades) later. I have not stopped learning and earning credentials in many disciplines, dramatically augmenting my insights.
My theory is that “Gyno sapiens was originally a prehistoric woman - the missing link - whose survival skills were based on foresight, intuition, and ingenuity which compensated for her natural physical weaknesses. Her genes contributed to advance Neanderthal Man to Thinking Man. I am certain that someday, an anthropologist will discover the “Gyno sapiens genes that are today recessive in all of us, giving us the ability to look at things differently, foreseeing future outcomes thanks to a quantum leap.
